APES Kids in the Indian River Lagoon

Edgewood’s AP Environmental Science class is partnering with the Ocean Research & Conservation Association (ORCA). On October 6th, students will be heading to the Indian River Lagoon and collecting environmental data all day. This field trip is part of a larger effort called “A Day in the Life of the Indian River Lagoon.” The program uses volunteer citizen scientists all along the east coast from fourth to twelfth grade. The main goals of the program are to collect data about the Lagoon and use it to help educate Floridians on the issues the Indian River Lagoon is facing.
