My+Top+10+Most+Anticipated+Video+Games+of+2023

It looks like 2023 is going to be an amazing year in terms of video game releases. The ones that I am most looking forward to are Hogwarts Legacy, Sons of the Forest, Deliver us Mars, Forza Motorsport, Hollow Knight: Silk Song, Star Wars Jedi: Survivor, Assassins Creed: Mirage, Minecraft Legends, The legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom, Alan Wake 2, and Marvel’s Spider-Man 2. A lot of old classics are finally making sequels, and new games are rising up to take their glory.

10. Deliver Us Mars

This game came out on February 2nd, and is available on PC, Xbox, and PlayStation. The sequel to Deliver Us Moon is finally here and involves a lot of the same characters, however it is not a continue off of its story, so players will be able to understand the story if they haven’t played the first game yet. This game takes place in the future when humanity is starting their colonization on Mars. You will be assigned a mission to recover the ARK colony ships stolen by the mysterious Outward. This game includes lots of puzzles and very intense battles. From the trailer, we can see this game has great music and stunning graphics. There will be three mission briefings throughout the story. The first one is called “The Environment of Mars”, in which you will travel through hazardous environments and explore all the biomes Mars has to offer. The second one is called “Missing Colonists”, where you will solve a series of puzzles to learn more about a previous colony that had lived on Mars. The third one is called “The Zephyr”, where you will blast off to The Zephyr shuttle orbiting Mars and set off on a daring journey. The price of this game is $29.99 and is available now. Sadly, this game will not feature a multiplayer mode.

9. Forza Motorsport

This game will be available sometime in the spring and will be available on Xbox and PC. A lot of Forza fans have been waiting for this since the last Forza Motorsport was released in 2017. This game will feature a lot of newer tracks, such as the new track in Miami, the Kyalami circuit in South Africa, and Circuit Hakone in Japan. It will also feature a lot more cars as well. So far, this game is said to be the most immersive racing game ever made. In some races, you can expect poor weather, so players will have to be very cautious if they plan to win.

8. Minecraft Legends

Minecraft Legends will release sometime in 2023 and will release on Nintendo Switch, Xbox, PC, and PlayStation. This is a strategy game where players must go through a series of challenges to save a once peaceful land from the dreadful piglins taking over. Similar to Minecraft, Dungeons players will be able to fight in combat and befriend wolves, and even creepers, zombies and other mobs who are also seeking to protect their once peaceful world. Players will also be able to build their own base just like the original game. Online multiplayer and co-op will be available, and it is rumored that players will be able to compete with friends in minigames.

7. Alan Wake 2

The sequel we have all been waiting for is finally here and will be released on Xbox, PlayStation, and PC. Unlike Deliver Us Mars, players will be very confused about the story if they haven’t already played the first Alan Wake. Alan Wake 2 will be a survival horror game in which he will still venture through the small town involved in the first Alan Wake to find more clues to what led to his Wife’s disappearance. From what the developers have told us, they have spent several years on this game and expect it to be an absolute masterpiece, and from the trailer, it looks like it will be exactly what they said it would.

6. Sons of the Forest

Arriving February 23rd is Sons of the Forest. which is a survival horror game that will only be available on PC. This is a sequel to The Forest, where the main character tries to survive from monsters after a plane crash. The story for this game takes place right after the events of The Forest. Except now, the main character is venturing the forest once again to find a missing billionaire and get a high prized reward for doing so. On the adventure, players will fight the mutated humans and find a wide variety of weapons to protect themselves. Unlike The Forest, players will be able to craft items and build things such as campfires and create and design their own cabin. Sons of the Forest will include an online co-op. Developers announced that their AI system will be much more complex than their first game. The new AI system will include players having to deal with their characters hunger and mental state, which can affect your actions negatively if too low. The developers also said that the mutants will be a lot more advanced in the sense that they now will do coordinated attacks, but the player will be able to use fear as a weapon against them.

5. Marvel’s Spider-Man 2

After a long wait, Spider-Man 2 the video game is finally here and will be released some time in fall. This game will only be available to PlayStation gamers. The developers have been extremely confidential with this game, but what we know from the trailer, Miles Morales and Spider-Man will team up and from the looks of it the main villain will be Venom. We also know Spider-Man will use his nano tech suit from Endgame.

4. Assassins Creed: Mirage

Set to release in late 2023 is the next chapter in the classic Assassins Creed franchise, and it will be available on Xbox and PlayStation. Unlike most of the games in 2023, this game is a prequel to Assassin’s Creed: Valhalla. From what we know so far, there will be a lot of stealth and parkour involved in most missions. This game will take place during the main characters training days and will be about his story before the events of Valhalla.

3. Hollow Knight: Silk song

Hollow Knight: Silk Song is set to release on June 12th and will be available on Xbox, PlayStation, and Nintendo Switch. In this game, you will play as the hornet princess from the original game but find yourself in a strange world that is threatened by a dark force. During the player’s journey, they will be able to learn new moves, craft new weapons, befriend NPCs, and learn secrets about the unknown land. There are going to be over 150 new enemies than the last Hollow Knight. The soundtrack looks promising, since the music in this game will be composed by none other than the award-winning composer Christopher Larkin.

2. Hogwarts Legacy

Hogwarts Legacy is releasing February 10th, and it is exactly what every Harry Potter fan could ask for. This game is available on Xbox, PC, and PlayStation. It takes place in the 1800’s, and your character finds out about dark secrets in The Wizarding World that could destroy the Wizarding World as we know it. The player will be able to attend classes, clubs, and do much more at Hogwarts, and outside of Hogwarts players can explore The Great Wizarding World, go to Hogsmeade, tame magical creatures, or play a good game of quidditch. For more information go to my previous story which explains everything we know about Hogwarts Legacy.

Finally, Star Wars Jedi: Survivor releases on March 17th and will be available on Xbox, PC, and PlayStation. The sequel of the best Star Wars video game is finally here and looks to have the same amazing story and gameplay of the first game. It takes five years after the events of the first game, and Cal is still fighting to stop the galaxy from plunging into further darkness.  Now Cal is a Jedi Knight and will be able to do much more than in the first game, such as new force abilities, new lightsaber fighting techniques, and new weapons that Cal can wield. Players will also discover new planets and biomes along their journey.
