Important Information
- All books are now due back to the Media Center – please return them ASAP to avoid a summer overdue fine.
- Are you interested in writing your own music? Mr. Franco is hosting a FREE music composition workshop through the BPS Summer Enrichment Program. The workshop will run June 5-9 and 12-16 at Edgewood from 8:30 AM – 2:30 PM. This workshop is only available to rising 9-12 grade students. You will learn the basics of music theory and composition while creating your own song. There will be a concert featuring student compositions at the end of the workshop. If you are interested, look for the Summer Enrichment Programs link on the BPS website to apply or contact Mr. Franco for assistance.
- Also, if your teacher has asked you to bring in your text books, please start bringing the books in as well.
- Tomorrow exams: 6th period in the morning and 5th period in the afternoon. 3 more days of schools.

- Congratulations to Lindsey Angermeier for being selected as the female athlete of the year for Brevard County by Space Coast Daily and Friday Night Locker Room. The award encompases all sports and recognizes her contributions to the Edgewood Volleyball, Basketball and Lacrosse teams. Way to go Lindsey!”
- Congratulations to the girls 4×8 relay of Viki, Lily, Abigail and Nika for finishing 13th in the state in the 2a State Track Finals. Congratulations also to Nathan Corley for finishing 8th in the 800m and breaking the school record in the process.

- The girls Lacrosse will not being going on any further but if you see any of them or coach Clark, let them know how proud we are off them. They did a great job and had a great season.
- This weekend the varsity dance team competed 4 dance routines and ended the season with a clean sweep at Stage 8 Nationals.

Monday starts TESTING. If you are taking a morning AP test you need to be at the senior patio by 7:30 am, we will try to get you in the gym by 7:45. Remember, there is a test following you. Also, 7th graders, you have your state CIVIC test on Monday. Make sure you bring your laptops all charged up and that you report to your testing area when the bell rings at 8:25.

Edgewood Dance Parent Meeting May 15; Learn Choreo May 16; Tryouts May 19
Sports Results
- The girls varsity lacrosse team advanced to the regional final game with a 19-5 victory over Cypress Creek last night in a regional semi final game hosted by Edgewood. The win improved their record to 16-3 on the season. Lindsey Angermeier scored 7 goals and added 2 assists, Lauren Koshlap 4 goals and 2 assists, Taylor Reed and Audra Prill each had 3 goals, and Taylor Koshlap had 2 goals and 3 assists. Lindsey’s 7 goal output enabled her to surpass the 100 goal mark for this season. The girls will return to the field Friday for a regional final matchup at Lake Highland Prep with the game starting at 7 pm. Congratson the big win and best of luck on Friday, girls.”
- Varsity Beach Volleyball placed second in districts last night bringing home a trophy for Edgewood!!!! The semifinals game against East River came down to a 5th tie breaker game that Elise and Brooke won to seal the deal to advance. This is Edgewood’s first year with an official beach team and even as a young varsity team, Bailee and Bella took a set away from MI in the championship round! Coach is beyond proud of each girl, you all accomplished this together as a whole team! Congratsand enjoy the trophy you earned!

- The girls varsity lacrosse team advanced to the regional semi final game with a 10-7 victory over Satellite Friday night in a regional quarter final game hosted by Edgewood. The win improved their record to 15-3 on the season. Lindsey Angermeier and Taylor Koshlap each scored 3 goals and 1 assist, Logan Reed scored 2 goals 1 assist. Lauren Koshlap and Audra Prill each scored 1 goal 1 assist and Miah Swindel had a season high 14 saves. Great job, ladies! The girls will return to the field Tuesday in the regional semi-final round of the state playoffs against Cypress Creek from Wesley Chapel. The game is at Edgewood and starts at 7 pm.”

- Over the weekend, Team Brevard, featuring Edgewood’s own Abbie Shepard, navigated the qualifying matches of the Division 1 State Academic Tournament, earned themselves a seat in the finals, and walked away with a silver medal. - Beach Volleyball: Last night Varsity beach Volleyball won their last regular season game against Astronaut. Macy and Bella led the team with strong plays, Alyssa and Sadie dominated their sets, and Addie and Lily fought 3 tough sets that ended in an overall victory for Edgewood. Wish them luck as the girls go to districts on Monday.
