What’s Happening In Ms. Ingleton’s Art Classes
Art and World Culture, a middle school art class here at Edgewood, recently completed a project on cave art. They illustrated a story about something that happened in their life, similar to how cave men would create art on cave walls to tell a story. They crumpled up a piece of a brown paper bag, and then using a glue stick, they glued the piece into their sketchbook. They then started drawing different pictures that symbolized each event in their story.
In Studio Art, our other middle school art class, the students painted mixing red, blue, yellow, white, and black into all different colors as practice with color theory. They also did a piece on balloon animals. Using the panting skills they learned, they painted the different values of a balloon to make their piece appear three dimensional.
