Edgewood’s girls basketball team is on a 9-0 run
Edgewood’s Girls Basketball team has had a nine-win streak. Undefeated so far this season, they’ve played games against Melbourne (54-3), Merritt Island (46-27), Satellite (39-19), Astronaut (42-24), Calvary Chapel Academy (60-44), Cocoa Beach (40-32), Titusville (37-19), Odyssey Charter School (50-4), and Bayside (26-9).
“I’m so excited about our 9-0 win streak because it’s never happened before, at least not for me and my team. It really shows the amount of effort we have all put in for this team, and we are hoping to keep it up and get some more wins,” Kelleher said.
“It’s a pretty small team, but we all have really good chemistry and trust with each other,” she continued.
They have eight games left in the season. They are up against Bayside, Merritt Island, Space Coast, Cocoa Beach, West Shore, Melbourne, and Merritt Island Christian. Their final game will be January 26 against Merritt Island Christian in the gym at 5:30pm.
