Girls Varsity Hoopsters Continue Winning Ways
The varsity girls basketball squad reached 5 – 0 with big wins over Astronaut (42 – 24) and Calvary Chapel (60 – 44). Next up, the ladies face Cocoa Beach tonight in the Wolves Den, and then travel to Titusville to battle the Terriers.
Senior Lindsey Angermeier leads all scorers over their undefeated run, averaging 16.8 points per game, according to MaxPreps.
Their 5 – 0 start is the best season opener in over a decade for the Red Wolves.
In 3A District 5, Holy Trinity Episcopal Academy also has an unblemished record at 7 – 0, while no other teams are over .500.
